Five books to read by the pool this summer

It’s a great chance to brush up on some business knowledge or find some inspiration for how to better yourself and your business strategy. “Thinking, Fast and Slow” by Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman, is a look at two systems that outline the way that people think. One system is a slow, logical strategy, while the other is fast and emotional, hence the name of the book. It offers great insight into how and why we make decisions in both our business and personal lives. Understanding the thought process behind making decisions can help prepare you to make better decisions for your business in the future. It has appeared on many best sellers lists and is a great tool for anyone struggling with ranking their priorities. Sometimes it may seem like you have too many things going on at once which can cause you to feel overwhelmed. This book can help you understand what you should focus on in order to receive the greatest return. Figuring out how to order your priorities is extremely valuable for any small business owner.

You are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth

Everyone wants to make money, right? I mean that’s probably one of the main reasons why you started your business in the first place! Maybe you have struggled in the past with figuring out how to take the correct steps to earn money or maybe you have a little voice inside your head that has been holding you back. This book by Jen Sincero provides an entertaining account of how to reach financial success. It is a relatable, down-to-earth look at overcoming your fears when it comes to money. As a business owner, you have probably experienced your fair share of struggle. Barking Up The Wrong Tree

If you’ve ever been curious about the science behind success, check out this book by Eric Barker. Understanding why some people are more prone to success can often be frustrating and confusing.
